Comments:

My husband and I are both retired and are spending a lot of our time finishing out the full basement. We recently sold our acreage, barn, and pond so we only have the upkeep of the house we had built in 1978 and the surrounding yard. We've had a front porch added and deck in the back which greatly changes the appearance of our place. We have 2 grandchildren who are 4 and 9 yrs. old and live in Ok. We recently bought a camper and parked it near Claremore for the purpose of family gatherings nearer our grandchildren.
Our church is an important part of our everyday lives and do enjoy the company of those friends. My other 4 siblings live in close proximity so we keep in close touch.
I would welcome contact with classmates via this messg. center, phone call, or visit to our home.

School Story:

Vocal music was my extra activity during my school years and I continued on with it through my college years. During my last 2 years of college in LeMars, Ia., I was a member of the top 64 member travelling chorale and sang at the World's Fair in Montreal Canada in 1968. We travelled by private buses for 2 weeks to and from Montreal taking in some of the local tourist attractions including Niagara Falls and the exhibits of the Fair.

Hi Linda Remember good ole typing and shorthand which typing is on electrical/digital machines and telephone AND shorthand is no longer used. I still use mine every now and then for the fun of it. How have you been doing? After my husband passed away last JuIy, I now live in Claremore, Ok. with my sister, Gail and her husband, Wayne Norton. We had moved to Claremore in 2020 to an apt. and later, in with Gail so she could help me with my husband's medical needs. He had Parkinson's and bladder cancer. Our class reunion is Oct. 4 & 5th. Hope you can come and we can visit a little. Let Sue Rudenskiy or Gail Hunt Misch know.

I'd known Paul since Whittier 6th grade and his little antics already showed then.  During practice for our 6th grade graduation program, he and O'Die Royal made some comment and laughed and Miss Williams wasn't happy with that.  She said "quiet..  "Okay, O'Dwyer can make the comment of Yah, right at the end of the song, Dark Town Strutters Ball;  BUT NO ONE ELSE, JUST O'DWYER".  Boy, every one first was quiet, then everyone said "yaaaaaaaaaaa".  Muffeled laughter followed and Miss Williams didn't say a word.

Paul was a kind of guy who and would talk to everyone/anyone about any subject.  Always made one feel like they'd known each other a long time.  Paul's absence at our next reunion will be noticed by everyone.  God Bless his family and may Paul RIP.     Joan D.

Russell, I didn't know Janet had passed. I sent her a letter at Christmas and she didn't write back nor did the letter come back. When did she pass away? And from what? Was she at home or in a care facility? Joan

Happy birthday early to you. I still live in Claremore but with my sister, Gail Norton. My husband passed away in July of this year. He had Parkinson's. I keep busy with church work and have made a lot of wonderful people there. Have a healthy and happy New Year!
