Janet Wright was a TCU graduate and was a Teacher /Coach for 30 year in Beeville,Tx. She also was a teacher in the Tx Prison system for GED classes. She was also an avid Golfer and thought about going pro at one time.
Janet was an only child and never married. She was buried by her parents in the Coffyville Cemetary.
It was unnerving today to see the class site and learn of Janet Wright's death. Just yesterday I sent her an email asking how she was as I hadn't heard from her for quite a while. For a long time she kept me chuckling over cartoons and witty sayings via email. However, following two moves etc. I hadn't heard from her and thought it as high time to get back in touch. Unfortunately, it was too late. Even though since high school we had not communicated often, Janet and I knew each other all our lives. We both grew up going to the same church, same schoo, and our parents knew each other. She was a good person, good athlete, and I am sure a good teacher. Some of her stories about teaching in the prison system were amazing. I trust that she now rests in peace.
