Carolyn Maxine (Osborn) Dupre

, age 78, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, October 29, 2024 at Advena Living in Cherryvale, Kansas. Carolyn was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on February 21, 1946 to Frank J. and Elsie M. (Smith) Osborn.

She attended Longfellow and Edgewood grade schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School with the class of 1964. She was a cheerleader, a member of the Tornado Tillies and was crowned Basketball Queen.

Carolyn worked after school at Ben Franklin then after graduation she worked as a secretary to the principal of McKinley Middle School for several years. She attended Coffeyville Community College and while there, she was chosen by actor Robert Goulet as the “new Dial Cover Girl”. She moved to Louisiana to live and help care for her aunt and uncle. While she was there, she met and married Ricky Dupre. She worked for Cal Supply and Remediation Services in administration positions. She moved back home to Coffeyville in 2006 and accepted a position at Condon National Bank in accounting. Carolyn was an avid fan of anything Elvis, Dale Jr., KU Basketball, KC Chiefs Football, NASCAR, and Caney Valley Speedway Track Racing.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Dupre, her parents, Frank and Elsie Osborn, a brother, Gerald Dean Osborn. She is survived by her brother, Allan F. and Lora R. Osborn of Coffeyville, Kansas, one nephew, Neil A. Osborn of Coffeyville, one niece, Cinnamon L. Deptuch and husband, John of Albany, Oregon, one aunt, Stella Osborn and cousins of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

Memorials in Carolyn’s memory is suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, contributions may be left with or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
